Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] A question about Zone Lise Multiplier

Hello, Mike;

  Following your response, I multiplied all the capacities of HVAC compoents and capacity, chilled water flow rates, air flow rates, pump and fan capacities, heating and cooling coils capacities, pipe lengths and water flow ratesin radiant system,...and so on.

  However, it seems that the cooling capacities of radiant system still does not be mutiplied. For example, the air flows rates are increased to 6 times, but the total cooling energy uses and radiant system cooling energy uses only increase a little bit. Could you tell me what are the possible reasons for causing this problem? Weather the radiant surfaces area been multiplied 6 times when using the zone multiplier?

  Regards,

  Yes. Zone Multiplier and Zone List Multiplier are applied to zone level loads.
All HVAC equipment serving a multiplied zone must have increased capacities
and flow rates to serve the multiplied load, even zone equipment such as
radiant slabs, window AC, fan coils, etc. There is no HVAC system multiplier
in EnergyPlus.
