Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] An example file of ERV
Regarding the bypass air reporting. Everything looks OK here. An explanation
from the heat exchanger expert:
"The HeatExchanger:Air To Air:Generic object appears to be working
correctly in the example file. For the rotary HX (example file as is),
the air is not bypassed, the wheels rotational speed is varied to
maintain an exhaust air outlet temperature equal to the threshold
temperature for the time the HX is in defrost. The exhaust/supply air
temperatures are averages over the time step so the user will not see
the threshold temperature at the exhaust outlet node, its the average
exhaust outlet temperature (will be lower than the threshold temperature
if defrost fraction is less than 1). For the plate heat exchanger the
supply air is bypassed (and verified in the example file when Heat
Exchanger Type is changed to plate). Outlet temperatures are again the
average over the time step."
