RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] AirFlowNetwork simulation and Attached Shading

Hello Lixing

Thanks for your response.
This presents major difficulties for all users, as the AirFlowNetwork model
is unusable for real applications which have external window fins or include
external buildings.

As we are EnergyPlus Developers, is there a temporary fix that we could
make, to tide us over until the next release?

Thanks for your help so far.

Tony Baxter

  Tony:

You are right. The AirflowNetwork model can not handle inputs with
external
shading surfaces. The AirflowNetwork model assumes each surface is exposed
to a zone, but the external shading surfaces have no zone associated. The
problem will be fixed in the next release.

I tried to find a workaround way and could not find any so far.

  Thanks.
