RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] A question about how to define the convection conefficient
Hello Lei Wang,
You are correct that the convection coefficient algorithms do not account for air density. I'm not sure how big the effect is, or what an alternative algorithm might be. One option might be to test the sensitivity of the rest of your building model to changes in the convection coefficients by setting your own coefficients using the ConvectionCoefficients object (see the Input-Output Reference).

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] A question about how to define the convection conefficient
Dear all
I have a question about how to define the convection conefficient, when the altitude is about 5000m. In this case, the density of air is much less than the standard value, so I want to selcet a appropriate aLgorithm to calculate this value.
After I reading the EngineeringRefernce doucumnet, I found that all of the six models for estimation the convection conefficient didn't take into account the effect of air density.
Anyone can tell me how to deal with this problem.
Thanks Very Much
Lei Wang
