RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Any update on the SketchUp plugin?

The first release of the EnergyPlus plug-in for SketchUp will handle non-geometric inputs.  You'll be able to select these non-geometric inputs for each zone--including HVAC systems--based on building type templates.  You will be able to run EnergyPlus from within SketchUp... and get results in a pop-up window.
 
Currently we think that the plug-in will be released in August... unless we run into roadblocks.

Hello everyone,

I´ve read that a Energy+ plugin for Sketchup is in progress, and that 
it could be released during the summer. I´d like to have updated info 
on that... I´m looking for an efficient modeler for EnergyPlus, and we 
want it to be as compatible as it can be (ecotect mainly). As a 
longtime SU user, it looks like it would be the best option. So, a 
couple questions come to mind...

Will the plugin handle non-geometric inputs? (schedules, appliances)

Will it just generate a file or will it launch EnergyPlus and run it?

If I can be of some help in development, I´ll be glad to help. I´m a 
longtime SU user, and a beta tester since R3, and we have people 
working with EnergyPlus here (not me).
