[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Changing Energy+.idd

Linda,

Thank you for your help.
I've changed the file the way you said and I solve the problem related
to the bigger branch lists, splitters and mixers. However, I get an
error related to the smaller ones:

Message on err file:

** Severe ** Object=SPLITTER, name=HOT WATER LOOP HW SUPPLY SPLITTER,
Required Field=[Outlet Branch Name 100] was blank.

** Severe ** Object=MIXER, name=HOT WATER LOOP HW SUPPLY MIXER,
Required Field=[Outlet Branch Name 100] was blank.

It seems that for objects which have less than 100 branches,
EnergyPlus hangs requiring a corresponding branch name for every
additional field requested on the Energy+.IDD
This happens for all mixers an splitters which Branch list has less
than 100 branches.

I'm using EnergyPlus 1.4.0.025. Could this problem be a bug in this
version?

Thanks in advance for your help

Best Regards

Filipe
