[EnergyPlus_Support] About Absorptance Thermal coefficient of material

Hello,

I'm would like to know if it's possible to estimate the effect of 
absorptance thermal coefficient of material on energy demand.
I change the value and the simulation there is no change in the results.
Can anybody explain?
