[EnergyPlus_Support] Comparison loads of E+ and Doe2.1E due to windows

Hi All,

In my project, I used DOE2.1e and EnergyPlus to get simulation
results. I found that heating energy is almost same. But the cooling
energy are quite different. It seems the main reason is because of
windows. It is hard to have the same parameters for windows in doe2.1e
and EnergyPlus. So I created a very simple model to compare
heating/cooling loads due to windows.

There are no internal heat (people, equipment, lighting) and no
infiltration in space. The indoor temperature is taken as 22.2 degree
C. The window is single panel without frame. From DOE2.1E,
GLASS-TYPE-CODE is 1000 (U-SI 6.31, SHGC 0.86, SC 1, Tsol 0.84, Rfsol
0.08, Tvis 0.9, Rfvis 0.08, thickness 3mm). Then I entered these
parameters to EnergyPlus input file.

The following are results.

zone without window (loads due to wall):
heating : 20.23 GJ (E+), 21.04 GJ (Doe2)
sens cooling: 0.07 GJ (E+), 0.28 GJ (Doe2)

zone with window (window-to-wall ratio is 16%)
heating : 44.53 GJ (E+), 51.4 GJ (Doe2)
sens cooling: 25.55 GJ (E+), 33.27 GJ (Doe2)

zone with window (window-to-wall ratio is 97%)
heating: 210.68 GJ (E+), 228.2 GJ (Doe2)
sens cooling: 143.72 GJ (E+), 223.76 GJ (Doe2)

>From the above results, there are obvious differences in sensible
cooling load. I am not sure the differences are because of the
different calculation methods of two software or I made some mistakes
 in my simulation.

Anyone can give me some advice about this?
Thanks a lot in advance.
