[EnergyPlus_Support] Different from reality & Ventilation related problems
Hi,
I'm simulating an office space in a hot arid area, whose winter is
cold so it's not a common practice to need cooling in cold months
even in office buildings whose internal gains are high, (sometimes
in few cases natural ventilation might be used when internal
temperatures are relatively high) BUT so far, all results show
considerable cooling loads in these months! I tried reducing internl
gains, different space ratios and other options that might be
relevant but still getting same results of cold months cooling.
- Thinking that the problem might be because of the use of natural
ventilation as "scheduled", I tried setting it to b "calculate" but
got an error message saying: "**FATAL:
GetAirFlowNetworkInput": Program terminates for perceding reason(s)
Please check the EnergyPlus error file for more information"
In energy plus err. file many severe errors appeared as follows:
" ** Severe ** GetAirflowNetworkInput: The number of
AIRFLOWNETWORK:MULTIZONE:COMPONENT ZONE EXHAUST FAN is not equal to
the number of Zone exhaust fans defined in CONTROLLED ZONE EQUIP
CONFIGURATION
** ~~~ ** The number of AIRFLOWNETWORK:MULTIZONE:COMPONENT
ZONE EXHAUST FAN is 0
** ~~~ ** The number of Zone exhaust fans defined in
CONTROLLED ZONE EQUIP CONFIGURATION is 4
** Severe ** GetAirflowNetworkInput: Zone Exhaust Fan is not
defined in AIRFLOWNETWORK:MULTIZONE:COMPONENT ZONE EXHAUST FAN
** ~~~ ** Zone Air Exhaust Node in CONTROLLED ZONE EQUIP
CONFIGURATION =5468 FAN COIL RETURN"
Could you please help by giving probable reasons for the 1st topic
and some solution to the second?
Your help is urgently needed and highly appreciated.
Thanks, regards
Abeer
