[EnergyPlus_Support] ZONE MULTIPLIER and ZONE LIST MUILTIPLIER

I am going to simulate a buildinhg wth 10 typical floors 
I want to use the zone list and zone group to simplify the input data.
However there show a dialog
ERROR 9
..........out of range
I don't know whether there is a conflict between the input file between 
ZONE and ZONE GROUP.
But if the multiplier is one (zone multiplier or zone list multiplier)
there will be no such error

but for a builidng consists of 10 floor, there should be at least 40 
layers 
I don't know how to simplfy the input process
