While we do have the TRY data, we do not have permission to release as the RMY data are meant to replace it.  PC Thomas has a copy of the TRY in EPW format.

Hi Justin,

Thanks for the advice. I opened both IWEC and RMY weather data in
notepad and saw the line quoting that the source data is from ACADS_BSG:

"COMMENTS 1,Australia Climatic Data Base Reference Meteorological Year
Weather Data Set December 2006 Period of record 1967-2004; Copyright
Commonwealth of Australia licensed from ACADS-BSG Pty Ltd only for use
by users of EnergyPlus."

Alas, both weather files uses Reference Meteorological Year (RMY) data
instead of Test Reference Year (TRY) data, which is required under the
ABGR validation protocol. I contacted ACADS-BSG and they said maybe
Dru Crawley from LBNL already has a converted Sydney TRY version for
Energy Plus. Could someone from EnergyPlus kindly upload the TRY
Sydney weather file if you have access to it? Thanks a lot!!
