RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] which items is useful in weather data for hvac ?
This is explained in the Auxiliary Programs documentation--where the EPW
format is described. It tells you which fields (currently) are used by
EnergyPlus--beginning on page 14. Note that we are working on an update
to the EPW format which will now also include precipitation amounts and
rates--for use in moisture modeling.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] which items is useful in weather data for
hvac ?
Dear Energy Plus Team:
In epw file, there are 26 items. It is difficult to fill each items
without error. In fact no all items be used for HVAC simulation
calculation , such as "Global Horizontal Radiation {Wh/m2}". Some items
have correlation each other , such as "Dew Point Temperature {C}"
and "Relative Humidity {%}".
Which items will be used for cooling/heating load calculation ? For
hvac energy consumption calculation ? For lighting energy consumption
calculation ?
Regards
Lei Fei
