Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Low illuminance values for Blinds simulation.

Hello everyone.

I am involved in the simulation of Window blinds. I have been
performing some simulations for simple blinds system. I am having
a 6'X6' window on an 10' X 11' wall. I am expecting sufficient
light for this room but I am getting very low value of
illuminance( 270 lux maximum) . I have uploaded the IDF Editor file in
the files section. I would like to know what might be the Problem with
such abrupt results.

I will be involved in simulating Multiple blinds. I wish to know
if the Illuminance values obtained from Energy plus are good
enough for obtaining validated results or we must look for other
daylighting simulation softwares such as RADIANCE ?

Thank you
