Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] COP OF HEAT PUMP

Actually I know their is a manufacturer who is claiming to have COP of heat pump greater than 10. For one our project we used his equipment and for LEED Canada modelling we are not able to define more than 10 so we need to do some work around in DOE 2.1.

you might be able to design/build using advanced technology). COP =
Output (W)/Input (W). EER = Output (Btu/hr)/Input (W). A COP of 10 is
equivalent to a heat pump EER of 34 (Watts * 3.413 Btu/hr/Watt) which is
not currently available with todays technology. Your maximum for heat
pump's in E+ should be from 3 (nominal efficiency) to 6 (very very
efficient).
