[Bldg-sim] Announcing the formation of IBPSA-NYC and inaugural meeting details

Greetings,

As you may have heard, the inaugural meeting of the New York City chapter of the International Building Performance and Simulation Association (IBPSA-USA-NYC) will be held on September 15 at 6:30 PM at the Buro Happold offices located at 100 Broadway, 23rd Floor. At our first meeting, we will discuss "simulation checks", and ways of ensuring accuracy of models results. Our first meeting will also serve as a forum for generating ideas about future topics of discussion. We've already come up with a few ideas about topics -- like envelope modeling, UFAD, radiant cooling, Lab Modeling, Complex glazing systems, Green Roof modeling, and Case Studies -- but are interested in your input as well. Bring your modeling problems and frustrations as well as your break-throughs and solutions. Feel free to bring laptops to facilitate discussion about particular modeling software.
