RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Component library for DesignBuilder?

Hi Jim,

You can manage your DesignBuilder components and templates very easily. Assuming that you have created your constructions/materials etc within a project, you can export these using the DDF file format, by clicking on File > Export > Export library data. You can then import this DDF file back into the program libraries on the opening screen so that any new projects you create will include them.  For existing projects you can just import the DDF files directly into the project. You can find more on this at:

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Component library for DesignBuilder?

Hey guys,

Anyone aware of ways to manage your construction component library, outside of DesignBuilder?  I find it frustrating to “rebuild” all of my wall, ceiling and window components every time I start a new simulation file.

I love DB’s interface with EP, however, the British originated construction components just don’t cut it for my simulations in the southwestern U.S.    Any ideas on how I can eliminate rebuilding my construction component library every time I start a new project?

Thanks,

jim
