Hi all,

This functionality is currently being developed by Lawrence Berkeley National Labs in the the form of translator software that converts geometrical data in IFC format to Input Data Files for EnergyPlus. The current aim is to release the software in March 2009.

Hi all,

Could anyone provide some hints on interoperability between ArchiCAD
models and Energyplus? Namely, regarding the possibility of extracting
geometric models (and, eventually, construction details) from an
ArchiCAD model to an idf file via ifc protocol?... procedures,
techniques, issues?... any previous experience on this area?
