I am not sure about ArchiCAD, but i know that AutoCAD 2007, 2008
can use the EnergyPlugged command (separate free download) to convert planar
surfaces to idf’s.
The lines that form the boundaries of the planes are
selected and then the ‘region’ command converts them into
EnergyPlus’s heat transfer surfaces/subsurfaces.
