Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Dimension in Sketchup

Title: Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Dimension in Sketchup

Look at the Getting Started document that was installed with EnergyPlus.  It describes how to abstract you building's geometry -- including centerline, or exterior.

(From Start button, All Programs, EnergyPlusV2-2Programs, select EnergyPlus Documentation Main Menu.  The Getting Started is listed there.)

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Dimension in Sketchup

Hello,
I have simple questions and I can't found simple answers...
When I draw my building in sketchup:

1) Do I use exterior or interior dimensions? I am using the exterior
dimensions but E+ calculates the surface whit the exterior dimensions:
I thus have a too large surface...

2) I have two floors dispatch in two zones: Is the height of the first
floor between the floor and the bottom of the ceiling, and the height
of the second floor between the bottom of the ceiling of the first
floor and the bottom of its ceiling?

Thank you for your answer and sorry for this idiot but important
question...
