i check the properties (right click) of the
shortcut and check the directory that the shortcut points to.
i can then change the directory to the one
with the correct tranisiton, v2.1 to 2.2 or v2.2 to 3.
i do not think we can transit from v2.1 to 3 in one
step, i also have to check the correct version of my previous files so that i
know which transition to use.
