__._,_.___Edwin,Can you send both fow water to water and air to water HPs? Are there seperate excel sheets for reciprocating and scroll compressors, as I believe the required parameters for these two compressor types are different. If yes then I am interested in both compressor types. Thanks and Best Regards,Saqib

Saqib:The parameter estimation procedure involves a simulation of the heat pump. A spreadsheet (Excel) tool was available from the Oklahoma State University website, but has been removed (I believe it was left behind during a website update). A new tool is currently under development which is not spreadsheet based, but a standalone program. I will look into getting a copy of the spreadsheet tool put back online until this new tool is available. For reference, will you be using Water to Air or Water to Water heat pumps?
Jay:There are a few example files which use these parameter estimation heat pump models.Water to Air:5ZoneWaterLoopHeatP ump.idf5ZoneWLHPPlantLoopT ower.idfHeatPumpWaterToAir. idfHeatPumpWaterToAirW ithAntifreezeAnd LatentModel. idfHeatPumpWaterToAirW ithAntifreezeAnd LatentModel. idfWater to Water:GSHP-GLHE.idfPlateHeatExchanger. idfEdwin

Dear Sankar,Actually I have conatcted Jin regarding the parameter estimation procedure. Please do explain how to estimate the parameters from the catalog dat. Please send the idf as I donät have it.

Hi Saqib, watertoair): ParameterEstimat ion. Since you mentioned you are familiar
The model is called HEATPUMP:WatertoWat er(or
with the model, I assume you know how to derive the parameters for the
model.
Thanks
Sankar
