None of the illuminance or liminance data are used by EnergyPlus.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] EPW TMY3 Weather Data Valid?

Hello, at the NREL link to the TMY3 source data:

http://rredc.nrel.gov/solar/old_data/nsrdb/1991-2005/tmy3/

I saw this notice:

20-AUG-2008 NOTICE

All illuminance and luminance values for all TMY3 stations from January
2 to 31 should be multiplied by 100 to obtain the correct units of Lux
and Candela per square meter. NREL will be posting a corrected data set
in the near future.

Does this mean that the January illuminance and luminance values in the
TMY3 EPW files are incorrect?
