Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Water to water ground source heat pump without PA air

Dashamir:

1) WWHP:  If you look at the EngineeringReference document, you can see the definitions for all coefficients and parameters for the water to water heat pump.  Most likely your heat pump will not line up with the same coefficients as the example data, and this can lead to odd results.  These coefficients must be developed from catalog data.  There is a spreadsheet tool available to calculate coefficients, and an improved tool is being developed (almost beta stage) to develop these coefficients.

2) GLHE:  The g-functions are very important to the stability of the GLHE model in E+.  There is a dataset that includes some example g-functions for different borehole configurations.  If you are doing anything in depth with boreholes, you will want to move to a separate software.  A program called GLHEPro is available from Dr. Jeff Spitler at Oklahoma State University.

Good luck...

Hi   Mr. James

Saw your respond for Ashok, also I'm trying to do one simulation with water-to-water heat pump systems, without combination of Purchased system.

I'm having two troubles about this simulation:

1) The firs one is about Heat Pump Water to Water:EquationFit for Heatin&Cooling input data,
in my case rated heating capacity is nearly 25000 W while in example file is 34040,92 W.
My trouble is, can I use the same coefficients of GshpHeating and GshpCooling used in example file
respectively for heating and coolin as in my example ? and how is defined Rated Heating Power Consumption valuei example.

2) the second is about Grount Heat Exchanger Vertical similar trouble like first. I dont know how have to determine the values of this object
for example: number ohf boreholes, bore hole length and radius, ground, pipe, and fluid parameter parameters also G and LN/LTs values.

In few word don't know how have to fill these object in my case which have different heating/cooling capacity
and different site location so different ground parameters.

thanks in advance

waiting for your answer

all the best

Try "GroundHeatExchange r:Vertical"

Dear All

Is it possible to simulate with Water to water ground source heat pump with
vertical borehole ground loop heat exchanger without combination of
Purchased system.

Thanks in advance
Ashok
