[EnergyPlus_Support] Regarding the modeling of building envelope

Hi 

im new to this energy plus and im currently using ecotect to model the building envelope and when i try to open the ecotect - energy plus input file in the idf editor im getting lot of errors and the idf editor closed by giving error warnings , could any one tell me which is the best software for creating energy plus files for complecated shapes and is there any step by step procedure for creating energy plus files by ecotect and any suggestions would also be helpful to me
