Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Condenser loop and Setpoint managers .....

True, in Electric Chillers, there is no condenser loop node set point.  The loop uses the environmental reference 'AIR' in the object when performing set point / load calculations.  I think the documentation may need a bit of clarification there.  Would you agree that this statement:

  6)  Any Use of PlantLoop or CondenserLoop

being replaced by this statement:

  6)  Use of a PlantLoop or CondenserLoop object which doesn't use an environment reference such as AIR or GROUND as a set point

would be an improvement?

Dear users,

Is it always compalsory to have a SetPointManager: object associated to a Condenser loop?

The InputOutputReference documentation mentions that, any use of PlantLoop or CondenserLoop require the use of a Setpoint Manager (page 1282).

However, one can find some files in the Examples directory (say .... ElectricChiller.idf) that do not make any use of a condenserloop setpoint manager.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance
