RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Weather data

We've already created more than 100 Meteonorm files for locations where we don't have measured data (on the EnergyPlus web site).

On the YahooGroup web site:  http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/EnergyPlus_Support/On the left side, click on Files, then open the Meteonorm_Weather_Files folder. Inside locations are organized alphabetically by country.

As always--if you need weather data for a location that is not available on either the EnergyPlus web site (http://www.energyplus.gov/cfm/weather_data.cfm) or the YahooGroup, please send a message to the team.

Gab,

If you want more accurate weather data, try getting the real time weather data from the EnergyPlus website:

http://apps1. eere.energy. gov/buildings/ energyplus/ cfm/weatherdata/ weather_request_ search.cfm? sortKey=country&opt=1

There may be a weather station that is closer to your area than other weather data you can find, that is what happened in my case. However, I have been requesting in for a week now and have not even received a confirmation email message. In addition, the site moderator is away until Thursday so please tell me if it works for you.

Hope this helps.

I'm newbie at E+. I'm doing a simulation of a building located in Guayaquil (GYE) Ecuador, however I have not been able to find the weather file.
Do you have any suggestions about a way to find the file? There s nothing at E+ Weather data website.
I'd like to know what reasonable assumptions and acceptable criteria I could use when using the weather file from another location to replace the one that I did not find (GYE). What are the parameters the most important that I should be looking at when choosing a different file to replace the one that I couldn't get?
Thanks
Gab
