[EnergyPlus_Support] Sketchup And Energy Plus
Hi, I am just starting out with Energy Plus. I found the program through the Sketchup and Green Design lecture at the Sketchup Basecamp last year.
The energy plus plug in for Sketchup allows a building to be modelled in real time, assigning standard construction build up to vertical surfaces (walls) horizontal and sloping (roofs) etc. etc.
Can anyone show me where setting up different construction build up with different insulating properties can be entered in sketchup or in Energy plus so they can be applied as a 'material' in sketchup.
This would allow me to quickly do what if analysis in the Sketchup Environment.
Next, where is all of the heating and electrical information entered?
Does the energy plus file just make standard assumptions based on the surface area of the model?
Finally does anyone know of a step by step tutorial (apart from the one mentioned above) that covers using energy plus and Sketchup?
Many Thanks,
David Hughes
