There is no tutorial illustrating using Sketchup and
EnergyPlus to achieve a total result.
Sketchup, so far, is used mostly for creating the building
geometry. However, it can also read in an idf file -- so if you use
any tools to create the idf, it can read it in for visualization,
changing the geometry and running EnergyPlus.
EnergyPlus makes no assumptions about the heating/cooling requirements
for the building, you must enter them (likely with the IDF
Editor?)
In the Getting Started document, are several tutorial examples that
illustrate using the IDF editor with other parts to complete a building
analysis. I also direct you to the HVACTemplate objects which can
help create many system configurations.
The ideal loads (sometimes called Purchased Air) can be used to determine
unconstrained heating/cooling requirements for a building.
