[EnergyPlus_Support] AHU Fan Flow rate and Power

Dear all,
I have a problem interpreting simulation output data related to the AHU fan in an HVAC system. (The data is for a relatively large office building)

The output reported by EnergyPlus for "Fan Electric Consumption - AHU Supply Fan" is approx. 700kWh per day.

The reported "AirLoopHVAC Mixed Air Mass Flow Rate" is approx 130 kg/s on average. Using a realistic fan power rating of 2.0 kW/kg/s air flow results in 260kW power.

The HVAC runs for 10 hours per day giving on average (per day) 2600kWh consumption - much more than the 700 kWh reported by EPlus.

I am certain that I am making a fundamental error in interpreting the output, but cannot pinpoint the origin.

Any suggestions would be appreciated !

Best regards,

Francois
