Is there a recommended W/m2 during summer months to decrease cooling loads? Thanks in advance.

An optimum setpoint for shading control really depends on a number of factors including the glazing percentage and the quality (g-value) of the glazing. For low glazing percentages the setpoint can be higher 300-350 W/m2. For high glazing percentages perhaps as low as 100-150 W/m2. 200 W/m2 might be a good start.
