[EnergyPlus_Support] Glazing heat transfer

Dear colleagues,

I noticed strange results concerning the heat transfer through glazing in my DesignBuilder simulations. I am aware this is not a DB support group, but it seems to me that these results are related to the way E+ calculates SHGC.

I was simulating a conditioned building with an internal setpoint temperature of 24°C using the Brasilia weather file. During occupied periods, external temperatures are slightly higher than internal temperatures and I was hoping to see an inward heat flow (I was using a simple 3mm glazing system). However, the results have shown an outward heat flow during the whole year. It is not a considerable heat loss, but it seems strange to me as internal temperatures are always slightly lower than external. I appreciate if someone can explain why this is happening.

Best regards,
Raoni Venâncio
