[EnergyPlus_Support] How to run the ReadVars ESO?

Dear All,

I want to use the readvarsESO to override the limitation of 255 columns and filter the information that gets stored in the csv file. I have the following questions regarding the ReadVarsESO:

1) Can I use it after the simulation is completed, or do I need to create the *.rvi file before hand? In that case, how do I use the 'unlimited' option?
2) How do I use the ReadVarsESO.exe command line? By double clicking on the exe file the command window flashes for a second and then disappears. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as  in the documentation I have found a lot of information on what the program does but nothing on how you actual run it.
