RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Advanced Surface Concepts > SurfaceProperty:ExteriorNaturalVentedCavity

The boundary conditions modeled from one exterior cavity object can be applied to a “group” of different surfaces.  Ideally all the surfaces in that group should be somewhat similar in terms of geometric orientation (You wouldn’t want a vertical cavity model used on a horizontal surface).  That warning is saying there are differences among the surfaces.  It can be ignored if that is what you really intend, but probably you need multiple SurfaceProperty:ExteriorNaturalVentedCavity objects for the different orientations of surfaces.

Thanks Brent for prompt response.

I successfully ran the model. However, I got 1 warning: ** Warning ** SurfaceProperty:ExteriorNaturalVentedCavity="AIRSPACE, Surface ROOF has Azimuth different from others in the associated group.

I am not sure what does the 'associated group' is referred to?

Dave
