That’s a pity, I agonised over the potential s/w incompatability issues with 64 bit, then bit the bullet, no probs yet, but no benefit either! Any chance of this being rectified in the near future as the E+ computation is obviously crying out for more ram. Mine ticks along at 30% while the processor is busting out at 100% From: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mário Neves I also have the same setup and It efectavly doesn´t show an increase in time execution...
From: "Crawley, Drury" <Drury.Crawley@xxxxxxxxxx> I have a 64-bit Windows PC as well. When I first got it, I did a test of a small-size building using the regular 32-bit version and a test 64-bit version of EnergyPlus. There was little difference in execution time (<10%). From: EnergyPlus_Support@ yahoogroups. com [mailto:EnergyPlus_ Support@yahoogro ups.com] On Behalf Of Danny Bishop Hi All I have just bought myself a nice new mobile workstation running windows 64 bit with 8Gb ram. I have installed Design Builder, and found that DB, and the DB initiated E+ simulation is running at 32 bit (as represented in windows task manager). I am quite disappointed as the ram is not being utilised. Can anyone tell me how to run these in 64 bit?
