[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Mechanical night ventilation

Hi Liam, thanks for your response!

I tried this solution, but it wasn't successful. It seems these objects "zone ventilation" and "zone infiltration" cannot be simulated among air flow network (see below the err reports):

1) First simulation:
** Warning ** GetAirflowNetworkInput: AirflowNetwork:SimulationControl object, Specified AirflowNetwork Control = "MultizoneWithoutDistribution" and ZoneVentilation objects are present.
** ~~~ ** ..ZoneVentilation objects will not be simulated.

2) Second simulation:
** Warning ** GetAirflowNetworkInput: AirflowNetwork:SimulationControl object, Specified AirflowNetwork Control = "MultizoneWithDistribution" and ZoneVentilation objects are present.
** ~~~ ** ..ZoneVentilation objects will not be simulated.

That's the question: I need to simulate with air flow network, to obtain results related to natural ventilation, considering windows opening and variable wind direction. So, there is some way to simulate a fan operating "inside" the air flow network option?

Thanks in advance,

Juliana

To restrict ventilation to 21:00 to 7:00 using a compact schedule, but I believe you'll have to allow it upto: 7, not upto: 21, and upto: 24. You can also predict fan energy using the ZoneVentilition object.

But I need to combine natural ventilation with mechanical night ventilation (9 P.M to 7 A.M). The system consists in a simple intake fan, positioned in a hole on the wall, with constant flow, operated by electricity.
