Hello, I have EnergyPlus installed and running on a laptop(OS: Vista) and appear to have no problems during installation to my desktop(OS: Window XP). During installation I have administrator privileges and the firewall turned off. However, EnergyPlus crashes for all IDF files I run. Files I create on my own or even example files. I have had past versions of EnergyPlus installed on this desktop without problems. I realize this is likely a problem with my desktop but I was curious if there is a PATH variable or BAT file I can check the settings on to perhaps identify the issue. By pausing during a simulation the error appears to begin when calling EnergyPlus.exe: C:\EnergyPlusV4-0-0>EnergyPlus forrtl: severe (168): Program Exception - illegal instruction Image Routine Line Source EnergyPlus.exe _ENERGYPLUS_ip_RE 437 EnergyPlus.f90 EnergyPlus.exe _MAIN_ 316 EnergyPlus.f90EnergyPlus.exe Unknown Unknown Unknown EnergyPlus.exe Unknown Unknown Unknown kernel32.dll Unknown Unknown Unknown Thank you, Todd Gibson University of Colorado Hotmail has tools for the New Busy.
