So, to make sure I properly understand it, you mean that sizing calculations along the 24 h period of the SizingPeriod:DesignDay objects are exactly the same whatever you state on the Run Simulation for Sizing Periods field (YES or NO), and the only difference is on the fact that you have available or not the 24 h results for reporting.
Or else you mean that if stating NO in the Run Simulation for Sizing Periods field, sizing is done for a single point using the temperatures input with the SizingPeriod:DesignDay object, without checking for the most critical conditions along the 24 h period associated to the SizingPeriod:DesignDay object?

If you also want to run those sizing period and look at results (before you do an entire annual simulation), then you would put Yes in that slot.
