By the way, could you please tell me the password for downloading the Energyplus V5.0.0.031 for old processors? When I tried to download the file, it requires the password, and i used my password of account for support center, it does not work.

As Dru says, there is now a GUI IDF Converter which, when coupled with the set of transition programs, essentially does this all in one step. Your way will work but is very slow and takes leaving all the EnergyPlus versions on your machine.
