RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Surface Convection Algorithms

Mario,

It wouldnt. I'm doing a research work on natural ventilated double skin facades, and the inside convective coefficients depends on a handfull of paramenters that need to be calculated for each time step. I must apply a not so simple algorithm, rather than using constant values, or even any of the available algorithms in E+.

Hello Pedro,

How about using this object:

IDF,SurfaceProperty:ConvectionCoefficients:MultipleSurface,AllExteriorWalls,Outside,Value,25*,,Inside,Simple,7.69*,;

Won´t it get the job done?

*- values acording to the ITE-50 [W/m2.K]

I've read through the EMS, and it specifically says that it is possible to define and apply custom made algorithms for the convective coefficients, wich is exactly what i need.

Could I get any hint on where to start looking for information on what exactly is this EMS feature, what aditional tools (if any) i need to have and how to start learning how to use it? I'm rather in the blank about this, could use some guidance on where to look, thank you for your help!!

The New Busy is not the too busy. Combine all your e-mail accounts with Hotmail. Get busy.
