RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Query on Output of Daylight/ Glare

Hi, Poh Kai

I do not know why you need a daily averaged pattern.  The patern changes due to the earth's orbit around the sun.  The intensity also depends on the cloud condition.

The idea of doing the day lighting simulation is to get the correct lighting at each desk position.

If you replace the daylight with electrical lighting to keep the illumination level constant, the reduction in electrical power is the saving.  There may be a daily averaged, monthly averaged and an anual averaged value in the report.

The need for day lighting simulation is because the sun is moving during the day, and has a seasonal variation as well.

The map provides the distribution of the light in the room.  You can then move the table, the window position, or the shade to get the maximum benefit of the sun light.

The total sun light into the room is given by the beam intensity through each window.

Hello All,

I am still unable to generate a 'typical day' profile even after reading the output:table documentation.  Is there anyone who knows how to do it?  I have tried for several weeks and would sincerely appreciate any help on this.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Poh Khai

Review the Output:Table documentation.
