Hi All,
In EnergyPlus, 15 benchmark files are avaiable for typical buildings in USA. The U-values of building envelope should consider the effects of thermal bridges. I am not sure whether these effects have been considered in these IDF files. For example, the thermal conductivity of insulation material used in these EnergyPlus files may be a little higher than that from pure insulation material in order to take these effects into account. Does anyone have some ideas about this problem?
Thanks,
Jin
