[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Home ventilation system



Hi,

What results are you aiming for? Zone temperatures, fan energy consumption, ... ?

Zone mixing only has an effect on the receiving zone, so if you use this option with the ceiling as the source, the effect of extracting air from the ceiling cavity will be ignored. Where does the ceiling get supply air from? Is it externally vented, or does it draw from the spaces below? To balance airflows, you need to make sure that if you are extracting air from a zone, there is a supply of equal volume.
