[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Fan Motor Power output?

interesting. In Europe, if we say a 10 kW motor, it means that 10 kW is the absolute maximum ELECTRIC power that it can consume. The mechanical power is then dependant on speed (and speed dependant efficiency. However the rated design speed, torque and efficiency are also given.

Actually I was after trying to adjust my fan efficiency and pressure to get the required ASHRAE baseline fan power. But first i would need to run a simulation and see what the design fan power was.

The question was how to output for fan power.
