[EnergyPlus_Support] PTHP dehumidification

Apologies if this arrives twice - posting from the web interface and original post isnt shwing up.

Simulating a building to get comparitive energy consumptions for with and without humidity control.

Humidification using a Humidifier:Steam:electric appears straightforward.

Have a model working with PHTPs giving results for temperature. IO ref Figure 130 implies that a PTHP will do dehum (cooling coil before heating coil) however it only takes a Thermostat input. IO ref page 1198 suggests that if a ZoneControl:Humidistat is added and if my equipiment is capable of dehumidifying it will (however ESO output shows uncontrolled RH within the zone). Has anyone had any sucess getting a PTHP to dehumidify?

It doesnt appear to be possible to take the expanded idf from the PTHP and change the controller as there does not appear to be a suitable controller that will operate with RH priority driving the cooling coil and then use the reheat coil to maintain space temperture (as would be the case practically with a water based air handler with cooling and heating coils). What controller type have people had sucess using with water based air handlers doing dehum?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
