Dear Shady, Insulation that is contained within a wall generally has low mass, at least low enough not to significantly affect the mass-influenced time lag through the wall system. For that reason, I doubt that you will see a difference between modeling specific materials and just specifying different conductance values. I think you could easily run any conductance value using the parametric processor, just as you already did for thickness. The Building Performance Team From: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Shady Attia Thank you all, I followed your advise and finally succeed to run parametric runs with various values. What I did was for a variety if insulation thicknesses (2,5,7,10,12 cm). Now, I want to try something else. How can I run a parametric simulations of different insulation types/materials (rubber, polystrene, rockwool) please advise, Shady To: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx A recent addition to EnergyPlus utiltiies -- the Parameteric preprocessor __._,_.___ Primary EnergyPlus support is found at: http://energyplus.helpserve.com or send a message to energyplus-support@xxxxxxxx The primary EnergyPlus web site is found at: http://www.energyplus.gov The group web site is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EnergyPlus_Support/ Attachments are currently allowed but be mindful that not everyone has a high speed connection.
