[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Surface Solar Incident



I would expect that in winter (Jan, northern hemisphere) at noon (12:00) midday, that the sun is nearer to the horizon than in summer at the same time. Do you know if solar incident is nadir? I think it is, meaning that 0 degrees is perpendicular to the ground. If this is the case the solar incident is less in summer than in winter. Like I said I think the angle is relative to a horizontal (flat, parallel to the ground) surface. I don't know how it is defined.
