[EnergyPlus_Support] SHW/DHW Peak Demand

Hello,

 

I have a DHW system modeled in two cases.

 

1. HVAC System with an air-cooled chiller (no heat rejection)

2. HVAV system with chilled water chiller (heat rejection occurs)

 

In the output result of both models I obtain the same total annual energy consumption by the DHW, but there is a difference (water cooled system has lower value) in the peak demand?

Could it be accounted to the presence of heat rejection in the model?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
