Did you change the other window to use that convention?
Send your input file to the helpdesk and we can try to help you.

But the convention is upper left corner as the starting coordinate. Doesn't the tutorial say that?
0,4.5,2.35, !- X,Y,Z ==> Vertex 1 {m}
0,4.5,0.35, !- X,Y,Z ==> Vertex 2 {m}
0,1.5,0.35, !- X,Y,Z ==> Vertex 3 {m}
0,1.5,2.35; !- X,Y,Z ==> Vertex 4
{m}
would be correct.

Did you add in the coordinates of the window? Because I am also learning and had the same problem..you need to scroll down the "Getting Started with Eplus" document where you can find the co-ordinates of the windows for exercise 1 and then add those co-ordinates in the IDF editor. Once you do that, run the simulation and
it should work. Please let me know what happens after that, since I am also learning EnergyPlus and would like to hear your comments on it.
Sincerely yours'
Niraj
