[EnergyPlus_Support] Building Rotation for Appendix G

Dear Forum. 
I'm trying to automate the creation of the four simulation input files with the ParametricPreprocessor.

Either I'm misunderstanding p.15 of "using e+ for compliance" or for some reason the "Building Rotation for Appendix G {deg}" field within COMPLIANCE:BUILDING wont accept the name "$appGAngle" as suggested in the documentation.

Any advice?
