I said it before, simplify (complicate) the geometry into triangular shapes?by yourself?
You are expecting that someone else gave you a perfect tool. In fact, sketchup only has to reasonably render your objects. It does not have to give you a perfectly complete objects that fulfill your every need?
?and I am an old Unix programmer who is not afraid of the work?so suck it up and draw a representation of your dome?.! Then you can get on with your analysis knowing all the simplification you made. Go back to basic geometry texts if you have not learned them the first time around.
